QUESTION: What was your career track prior to joining the SC SBDC?ANSWER: Jim Funk completed his BS in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky and earned an MBA from Clemson University. Jim has diverse business and technical expertise in a variety of industries and company sizes with a focus on engineering, manufacturing, operations, and global supply chain management. He has held leadership positions in organizations ranging from small businesses to multi-billion-dollar global companies, including Michelin and Alcoa. He has also been a member of the adjunct faculty at York Technical College and Central Piedmont Community College.
QUESTION: What motivated you to become an SC SBDC consultant?
ANSWER: I was motivated by the opportunity to share my experience with clients at no cost to them.

ANSWER: Know your numbers!
